Gerri Lawing Crow, 61, of Gonzales, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 29. 2024.  Gerri was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico April 18, 1963 to Neil and Gail Kyle Gholson.

She had three children, Andrew Wayne, Lindsey Rae and Jodi Kyle while living in the piney woods of East Texas. During that time her first grandchild, Collin Wayne, was born. Collin quickly became the man of her heart living with Gerri for several years. Gerri had four more grandchildren who she adored beach trips with, teaching them a great love for Jesus and sharing her knowledge of the history of Texas.

Later in life Gerri moved to Gonzales, Texas where she met her husband, Tim Crow. Gerri instantly knew that Tim was going to be the greatest love of her life. She was passionate about her job in Gonzales working in economic development for GVEC. She always saw the potential in each small Texas town she would visit with a specific love for Cuero, Texas.

She always said her soul lived in the pink clouds at the top of the mountains. Tim purchased their casita trailer to head out at a moment’s notice to Big Bend or the mountains of Colorado. Traveling with a good cup of coffee, cool mountain air and a game of “Sorry” became her favorite thing.

Gerri is survived by her father, Neil Gholson, husband, Tim Crow, sons, Andrew Lawing and wife Rachel, Timmy Crown and Ashely, daughters, Jodi Maria and husband Steve, Lindsey Lawing and Tabitha Pittman and husband Daniel. Grandchildren Collin Lawing, Lucy Lawing, Ellie Maria, Skylar Lawing and Mason Lawing. She is also survived by her sister Gay Freels and husband Tim.
