Irene Palacio Moreno

Irene Palacio Moreno, 86, of Nixon, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 03, 2025. Irene was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend to all of those she loved. 

She was born in Nixon, Texas on June 28, 1939, to parents Teresa Garcia and Thomas Palacio. She lived in Nixon almost her entire life along with her husband and love of her life, Ysabel (Chavelo) Moreno. She remained lovingly by his side until his passing.  

Irene’s loved spending time with her family and friends.  Irene and Ysabel loved traveling and making new memories with their family and friends.  She loved good food and shopping sprees.

She is survived by children: Thomas Reynaldo “Ray” (Nancy) Moreno, Thelma (Michael) Ortmann, Roxanne (Christopher) Villasana; daughter in law: Hazel Marie Moreno; grandchildren: Neil (Kelly) Moreno, Jeffrey (Natasha) Moreno, Tiffany (Jason) Moreno, Miranda (Noel) Galindo, Victor “Torrey” Moreno, Vanessa DeLeon (Arthur), Bianca (RJ) Trevino, Treca (Wesley) Winsmann, Cecilia Villasana, Elias Villasana; 15 great grandchildren and sister Mary Louise Garcia,

Irene is preceded in death by her parents: Teresa Garcia and Thomas Palacio; husband: Ysabel (Chavelo) Moreno; son: Eugene Moreno.
