Jaime Eureste (60) of Gonzales, Texas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 6, 2026 after a brief battle with cancer. He was born on September 30, 1965 in Del Rio, Texas, to Felipe M. Eureste, Jr. and Natalie Esparza Eureste. He spent his early years in Waelder, Texas, and eventually moved to Gonzales, where he graduated from Gonzales High School. Jaime was the youngest of three children. Jaime was a quiet, hard working man who didn’t like being idle, at all. He was a handyman who could be found tinkering with his vehicle and making improvements on mom’s home.
Jaime held many jobs throughout his life. He worked at Kaspar Wire Works in Shiner, during his years living in San Antonio he worked for Girard’s Sign and Printing Company and the San Antonio airport. After moving back to Gonzales, he worked for the Gonzales Inquirer, drove for the Gonzales Senior Citizens, Walmart, Circle K, HEB and eventually found his favorite job working for his beloved Buc-ee’s. He was so proud of working for such a great company. He made so many friends there and you would be hard pressed to find anyone who had anything negative to say about him. When Jaime was first diagnosed with cancer, he couldn’t wait to begin treatment so he could get back to work, he was so bored sitting at home. He was never accustomed to down time.
Jaime’s most treasured loves were his two daughters, Angelica and Iris Eureste. He would move heaven and earth for his girls and they knew it. They both had him wrapped around their fingers. Watching them grow and blossom gave him so much joy. Whatever the girls want…within reason.
The family would like to send their sincere appreciation to Dr. Commie Hisey, Memorial Hospital ER staff, EMS and the staff at PAM Rehabilitation Facility in Luling. Also Dr. Bogaev at Methodist Hospital Stone Oak in San Antonio, Dr. J. Landon Smith at Texas Oncology in San Marcos and the doctors and staff at Ascension Seton Hays in Kyle.
Jaime was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother, his daughters, brother Andrew Eureste (Mary) and sister Ermelinda Gonzales, nephews Matthew Eureste, Hunter Gonzales and Noah Gonzales, all of Gonzales, Texas. He is also survived by his precious dogs Herbie, Toby and Oreo.
