Janet Marie Lindemann, 74, of Gonzales, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2026. She was born on June 26, 1951, in Luling, Tx; she was the daughter of Josephine Margene (Ivy) and Ross Herschap.
Janet married L.A. Lindemann, Jr. on September 11, 1986. Together, they raised their family on the farm; Janet also helped her husband L.A. with the cattle and also with tending to the crops. Despite all of the hard work done outside, the house was always well kept; Janet loved to decorate for any occasion, especially for the holidays. Most of all, Janet loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Whether it was going out shopping or just spending quality time at home, she enjoyed making memories with her family, it brought a lot of joy to her life.
Janet dedicated 28 years of service working at The Texan Nursing & Rehab, where she assisted as an aide to patients receiving physical therapy. She was a member of Monthalia Methodist Church and served on multiple committees alongside her husband L.A. Helping others was a big part of who she was, and how many will continue to remember her.
Janet is survived by her two children; Brian Kelley and Krystal Filip; two stepdaughters Renee (Alex Pizarro) and Wendy Lindemann; her grandchildren, Kaylie Kelley, Graham Kelley, Taegen Thwing, Trevor Thwing and Taelynn Thwing. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 27 years, L.A. Lindemann, Jr., her parents, and brother Ronald Herschap.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 10:00am at Monthalia Methodist Cemetery. Pallbearers assisting will include George Fink, Allan Wilke, Conly Willman, Wilfred Gandre, Will Stewart and Tom Lindemann.
