Martha (Rodriguez) Eureste

Martha (Rodriguez) Eureste, 85, of Waelder, joined her Lord and Savior and entered her eternal home in heaven, on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. She was born on March 20, 1941, in Kingsbury, Texas, daughter of Jesusa (Peña) and Jesus Rodriguez.

Martha grew up in Gonzales, Texas, she was raised by her grandparents Manuel and Rosa Sepeda. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose heart was rooted in the small-town comfort of Waelder, Texas. She cherished having family gatherings at her home; where numerous memories were made and everyone there experienced love, laughter and togetherness.

She found great joy in gardening and spending time outdoors, watching her hard work bloom in abundance. In her later years, she could often be found on her swing beneath the big oak tree enjoying the peaceful breeze and listening to her windchimes play the most beautiful music.

While Martha loved the quiet life, she never lost her spark for big adventures. She was always ready for a night of bingo, casino trips, and any opportunity to travel. Her life was filled with many experiences and she was great company to have.

After a courageous three-year battle with cancer, her spirit never wavered. Her strong foundation in faith granted her peace and strength throughout her journey. Her family and friends will miss her deeply, but they find solace in knowing she is in heaven where there is no illness, and she is renewed.

Martha is survived by her daughter Carol Eureste Moreland (Tim); sons Daniel R. Eureste (Laura) and Ralph D. Eureste; grandchildren Danielle Zertuche, Devin Moreland, Ray Daniel Eureste, Travis Moreland, Matthew Eureste, Elliott Eureste, Jenna Moreland and Molly Eureste; great-grandchildren Alex, Elliott, Lillie, Noah and James; great-great-grandchildren Reina, Roman and Antonio. She is also survived by her sisters Pauline Perez, Rachel Gonzales, and Rosa Bustos; brothers Gilbert Collazo and Sylvester Collazo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband of over 50 years Daniel Jones Eureste, her sister Patsy Resendez, and brothers Antonio Rodriguez, Elizardo “Lee” Collazo, and Alfredo Collazo.

A visitation will take place on Friday, April 10, 2026, from 5:00pm – 7:00pm, with a rosary following at 7:00pm. A mass of the resurrection will take place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 10:00am at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Waelder, Texas, officiated by Fr. Paul Raaz and Deacon Alfonzo Moreno. Interment will follow at Waelder Community Cemetery. Pallbearers include Devin Moreland, Travis Moreland, Ray Daniel Eureste, Matthew Eureste, Elliott Eureste and Frank Martinez. Honorary Pallbearers include Danielle Zertuche, Jenna Moreland and Molly Eureste.
