Michael Thomas Brown (Shows)
It is with a heavy heart we would like to share the passing of our hardworking loving son, Michael Thomas Brown (Shows), 22 years old. He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on October 25, 2003. Michael was welcomed into heaven on March 20, 2026, in Corpus Christi, Texas surrounded by many family and friends that loved him dearly.
Michael is survived by his loving parents Robin and James; his siblings; his grandparents; many aunts and uncles; and many cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandmother and great-grandparents.
Michael grew up with his older siblings on Old Dirt Roads with lots of Family Gatherings and BBQs which he loved! Ever since Michael was young, he was the most spirited kid, wild, silly, adventurous, and ambitious. Yet, he was the most loving, thoughtful (always thinking of others first), helpful in any way, always well mannered, and respectful when speaking to elders. He had a smile as big as Texas, and the most contagious laugh. He was so funny that there was never a dull moment when he was around. The light in any room. He was the kind of person who never met a stranger and would give you his last dollar in his pocket if you needed it.
Michael enjoyed playing sports especially Football when he got to play on the Varsity team with his Brother. His Jersey was #22. He made it his goal to have that number in spite of stealing Uncle Allen’s football number. He never set out to do something that he didn't accomplish. Him and his brother both strived to be a Great Football player like their All-Star Grandpa “Kamikaze Kid”, Tommy Pyle. They were strong linebackers that had a wonderful team that year and were playoff bound!
After school Michael started working in Construction and the Oilfield Rigs. Michael always knew he could have nice things if he worked hard for them, and he moved up quickly as he built qualifying skills. He was a leader in his workplace, and he would help others learn the skills that he had already learned. He always was the Brother that looked out for another in a time of need.
He always made time to come home to spend some time with his parents. No matter how busy life got he always showed up and showed how much he loved and cared for us! In his downtime Michael also had a love for dancing. He loved spinning around the dance floor. Michael had many special bonds and friendships. He never missed a chance or was too busy to stop by and say hello when he was in town. He always made time for what mattered the most to him, his family, and his friends.
He will be missed deeply but now he spins around the dance floor in heaven with his lord and savior. As Michael’s heart was always devoted to God. His favorite bible verses was Philippians 4:13 - “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” His faith was not just spoken but he lived it in the way he loved his family, cared for his neighbors, and friends, and trusted God through every season of life.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the First Baptist Church in Nixon from 9:00am-11:00am with a celebration of Michael’s life beginning at 11:00am, where family and friends was gathered to honor and remember a well lived life. Interment was at the Leesville Cemetery-Leesville.
