Otis Johnson Jr.

Otis Johnson Jr. went to be with his Lord & Savior on October 21, 2024. He was born August 9, 1964. Otis passed away peacefully in Galveston Tx. Otis was born and raised in Gonzales. He graduated from Gonzales High School where he excelled in all sports. He later attended college in Lufkin, Texas.

He left behind his beloved daughter, Shelby McKenna Claire Hastings, his pride and joy, his grandson, Amon Ray Keith Rose, and his God son, Cody James Wills who adored him.

Otis loved all sports and was quite the athlete. He played semi pro baseball for the A’s, winning the Babe Ruth award. Otis also loved hunting, fishing, riding horses, and a good game of poker or domino’s.

A Memorial service will be held at the Belmont Community Center, 14340 Hwy. 90, Belmont, Tx. On November 16, 2024. Service will start at 1:00 p.m. and meal will be served immediately after.
