Patsy (Pat) Keeney

Patsy (Pat) Keeney passed away on April 12, 2025 surrounded by her family after an inspiring and courageous 50-year battle with cancer. Throughout her journey, Pat exemplified remarkable strength and unwavering optimism, often wearing a smile that concealed her medical struggles.

Though she and her husband had moved to Gonzales just 18 months earlier, Pat cherished the short time living here by forging new friendships, cheering on her youngest granddaughter at her basketball games, enjoying Saturday lunches at Matamoros with her husband and son, and preparing Sunday dinners of New Mexican cuisine for her family.

Pat was deeply loved and will be missed by many, including her husband of 45 years, Jim Keeney; her son Jimmy Langston (Denise); her daughter Sherri Powell (Clay); her bonus daughters Sheila Wilmeth (Jim), and Karen Roach (Billy); brother Paul Tedford (Teri); ten grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Hospice of South Texas in Victoria for the amazing care they provided. Pat will be laid to rest in New Mexico at Sandia Memorial Gardens followed by a Life Celebration per her wishes.
