In Loving Memory of Ronnie Glenn Greathouse

March 5, 1964 – July 8, 2026

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Ronnie Glenn Greathouse, who departed this life on July 8, 2026, at the age of 62.

Ronnie was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose greatest joy in life was his family. He loved his family deeply and believed there was nothing more important than keeping everyone together. Whether gathered for holidays, celebrations, or simply enjoying one another's company, Ronnie treasured every moment spent with those he loved. His greatest wish was for his family to remain close, support one another, and always remember the importance of family.

Ronnie graduated from Gonzales High School on May 25, 1982. Born and raised in Texas, he was proud of his roots and the values they instilled in him. Growing up in Gonzales, horses had been a part of his family for generations. His grandfather was a well-known horse trainer, and Ronnie often shared that he had been riding horses for as long as he could remember, beginning when he was just three or four years old.

After graduating from high school, Ronnie built a career defined by hard work, dedication, and reliability. In 1990, he earned his Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and moved to Houston, where he drove locally for a building materials company. After returning to the San Antonio area, Ronnie transitioned into logistics, where he spent the next 15 years overseeing shipping and receiving while managing the overall logistics operations for a large firm. Although he excelled in management, Ronnie missed being behind the wheel. Ready to return to the work he truly enjoyed, he renewed his CDL and proudly went back to driving, finishing his career with Texas Materials, where he took great pride in his work.

Ronnie enjoyed life's simple pleasures and never met a stranger. He loved riding horses, sitting down for a good game of cards, playing pool with family and friends, and, more recently, found great joy in selling watermelons alongside his beloved wife, Michelle. What started as a summer venture became something he truly looked forward to each year. He loved meeting new people, visiting with returning customers, and sharing stories and laughter with everyone who stopped by.

Anyone who knew Ronnie will always remember one of his favorite sayings: "Well let me ask you this..." It was often the beginning of a story, a lesson, or simply a conversation that brought people together. It became a phrase that those who loved him will forever hear in their hearts.

Ronnie will be remembered for his caring heart, generous spirit, warm smile, and unwavering love for his family. His kindness, sense of humor, and willingness to help others touched the lives of many. He leaves behind a legacy of love, unity, laughter, and cherished memories that will live on for generations.

Ronnie is survived by his beloved wife, Michelle Williams; his daughter, Riva Greathouse; his stepchildren, Trey Blakey (Maddie), Shea Nixon (Josh), and Brittany Winston; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and his sisters, Linda Hardge (Hermon) and Joyce Armstrong.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Malinda Green and Elvin Greathouse Sr.; his sister, Everlena Cray; and his brothers, Elvin Greathouse Jr. and Kenneth Greathouse.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the memories Ronnie gave us and in the example he set through his love, generosity, and devotion to his family. We will honor his life by staying close, caring for one another, and sharing the same love and laughter that he brought into our lives.

Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.

Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever missed.
