Tammy Jean York

Tammy Jean York of Stockdale, Texas passed away on April 14, 2025, at the age of 63 after a 3-year battle with cancer. Tammy was born in Abilene, Texas. Daughter of Charles Thomas Posey and Lois Irene Posey, wife of Bennie York of Stockdale, Texas. Mother of four to Coby York, Morgan Myers of Oklahoma, Jacob York of North Dakota and Layton York of New York.

 Tammy loved reading, collecting books, cooking, crocheting, feeding her hummingbirds, spending time with the family, and her dog Sadie and sitting outside on her back porch relaxing. Tammy found great joy in baking and frequently did bake sales when the kids were in school baking anything from cinnamon rolls to fresh bread. She enjoyed coming to baseball games and track meets to watch meets to watch her kids play. 

Tammy is survived by her sisters Beverley Smith, Kathy Posey Wise and brothers Tom Posey, Troy Posey and Jack Posey.

Memorial Service will be Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 2:00pm at the Finch Funeral Chapel, Nixon.
