Culpepper & Merriweather Circus comes to Nixon, Gonzales

The Nixon Lions Club presents the Culpepper & Merriweather Circus under the big top on Friday, Oct. 18, on the property adjacent to Nixon City Hall, 302 E. Central Ave., Nixon. Shows are at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Pre-sale tickets are available at Janicek Insurance Agency at $13 for adults and $8 for children ages 2-12 or senior adults 65 and older. At the door, prices increase to $15 for adults and $10 for children ages 2-12 and senior adults 65 and older.

The circus will then head to Gonzales and the JB Wells Arena, Park & Expo Center for two shows on Sunday, Oct. 20, at 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. sponsored by the Gonzales Rotary Club. Tickets for that show can be purchased at the Gonzales Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture, Grammy’s Timeless Treasures or the Gonzales Memorial Hospital Gift Shop. Tickets can also be purchased for the Gonzales show in Shiner at the Patek Grocery & Market.

Based in Hugo, Okla., the Culpepper & Merriweather Circus performs a 90-minute show in more than 200 towns in 17 states for 32 weeks throughout the year. They boast family friendly entertainment that is enjoyable for children of all ages.
