Diamantina “Tina” Longoria

Diamantina “Tina” Longoria passed peacefully Friday, February 24, 2023, surrounded by her family in San Antonio, Tx. Tina was born March 31, 1959 in Gonzales to her parents Jose Longoria and Emma Ruiz. She grew up living her life for the Lord, at the young age of 5 she began learning the piano so she could play for her church. She graduated from Gonzales High School and worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant most of her life, she cared for people and loved doing it.

Tina married her beloved husband Richard Marroquin on March 31, 2000. She also has two children, Monica Hernandez and Lino Marin. She was a prayer warrior; she devoted her life to spreading God’s word and singing gospels to anyone who needed cheering. Tina served the Lord everyday of her life; she battled with complications of her diabetes and eventually lost her eyesight, yet she continued to play piano beating all odds. Her faith continued to keep her strong for herself and her family, her husband Richard helped her through all the years of dialysis, together they became very active in their church New Beginnings in San Antonio, Tx. She always had a positive outlook on life despite her declining health, she always sang and prayed for her nurses and doctors at each visit. Tina always made jokes, and even after everything she had been going through, she made it her mission to bring joy and laughter to those she loved dearly. Her family misses her very much and they will continue to share the good memories they have of her.

She is survived by her husband Richard Marroquin; her children Monica Hernandez and Lino Marin; her grandchildren Erica Hernandez, Julianna Hernandez, Aliana Garcia and Devyn Ruiz; her sisters Tomasa Martinez, Janie Vigil, Emma Ojeda; her brothers Matilde Longoria and Simon Longoria, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Jose Longoria and Emma Ruiz, her brothers Jose Longoria, Jr., Serapio Longoria, John Longoria, and sister Herminia “Penny” Castillo.

A visitation will be held at Seydler – Hill Funeral Home Thursday, March 2, 2023, from 12:00pm to 7:00pm with a service beginning at 7:00pm. Honorary Pallbearers include Jeremiah Lopez, Lincoln Stewart, Lino Marin, Devyn Ruiz, Matilde Longoria, Simon Longoria, Tim Longoria and Josh Longoria.

All services are under the care and direction of Seydler – Hill Funeral Home.
