OBITUARY

Domingo O. Ramirez Jr.

Posted

We are saddened to announce the passing of our family’s patriarch, Domingo O. Ramirez Jr. on December 30, 2022, at the age of 81. Domingo was born December 9, 1941, in Gonzales, to Domingo Ramirez Sr. and Juana Ornelas Ramirez.

On September 14, 1973, he married the love of his life Mary Rodriguez Ramirez. In his younger years he enjoyed fishing and hunting along with camping. During his retirement he loved to go riding in his car from town-to-town, shopping, while listening to oldies or what he called “oldies but goodies”. His favorite moments in life were spending time with his family, watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren play. He was always one for a good joke and was always one phone call away.

For the last 18 years every breath he fought for, was for his youngest son Eric Mark who he nurtured and devoted 33 years to his every need.

This is not the end Pop; for we know you are rejoicing in heaven, whole again with a brand-new heart. While we will miss walking in the house hearing you say, “Hello hello hello!”, we know you will be watching over us until we meet again.

Domingo is survived by his wife Mary Rodriguez Ramirez, his children, Pamela Cobler, Sonny Ramirez and wife Susie, Karen Ann Ramirez and husband Randy Tovar, and Eric Mark Ramirez; his grandchildren, Stephen Cobler Jr. (Cecelia), Matthew Cobler (Brittany), Randy J.
