Lady Mustangs loses to Northern Oaks, sweeps Luling

The Nixon Smiley Lady Mustangs lost their second district game of the season against Northern Oaks, Friday, Sept. 23, at home.
The Lady Mustangs fell to the Griffins in five sets (18-25, 25-23, 23-25, 25-18, 8-15).
In their Tuesday, Sept. 27, game the Lady Mustangs rebounded from their two-game losing streak and swept the Luling Eagles in three sets (25-10, 25-7, 25-12) to earn their third district win of the season.
Nixon-Smiley will close out the first half of district play as they travel to Universal City as they face the reigning district champions Randolph Ro-Hawks, Friday, Sept. 30.
Game kicks off at 5 p.m.
