Lana Lavon Brzozowski

Lana Lavon Ratliff Brzozowski, 81, of Houston, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2022.  She was born July 7, 1941 in St. Jo, Texas the daughter of Lavon Talmadge Ratliff and Ella Dolores Porter. She married Aloys Charles Brzozowski, Jr. he preceded her in death in 1983.

She was an insurance sales representative for over 20 years.  She was very active with St. Ludmila’s School in Shiner and was a frequent volunteer at St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church along with being a Girl Scouts leader.  She was an avid sports fan, especially the Houston Oilers and Houston Astros.  She loved swimming and the beach, and was a swimming instructor in Yoakum. 

She is survived by her daughter Dolores Warren and husband Edward of Bryan, TX; grandchildren Jessica Pavliska of Amherst, MA, Helen Khodabandeh of Austin, TX and Heather Pavliska Miears and husband Corey of Sweet Home; great-grandchildren Ashton, Adalyne and Alaina Miears; brother David Talmadge Ratliff and wife Kristine of Tucson, AZ; nephews David Ratliff Jr, Christopher Ratliff, Nicholas Ratliff, Mike Brzozowski, David Bludau and Tommy Bludau; nieces Annie Coulthard, Donna Kay Malik and Susie Selzer and sister-in-law Dorothy Bludau.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and nephews Gregory Bludau and Leslie Gene Bludau.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. Thursday, December 15, 2022 with the funeral service following at 10 a.m. at Seydler-Hill Funeral Home with Deacon Terry Brennan officiating.  Interment will follow at the St. James Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Tommy Bludau, David Bludau, Corey Miears, Darrell Malik, Kim Hagan and Mike Brzozowski. Honorary pallbearers are John Daughtery and Edward Warren.
