Lea Ann Johnson

Lea Ann Johnson, 63, passed away on Dec. 8, 2023. She was born February 8, 1960, in Victoria, Texas to William Gunn (Bill) Johnson and Bobbie Anderson Johnson.

She graduated from Gonzales High School in 1978 and her beloved University of Texas in 1981 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising. She was a member of the Alpa Phi Sorority and a Bevo’s Babe for the UT swim team. In her youth, she was an outstanding athlete at both tennis and golf. Lea Ann had worked over the years for Martindale-Hubbell Lexis/Nexis, Amelia Bullock Realtors and the Attorney General of Texas in the State Law Library. She lived in Austin for many years and recently moved home to be closer to family.

Lea Ann is survived by her sister, Jean Peterek Burns and husband Norman of Gonzales, her brother, Thomas (Tom) Johnson and wife Sissy, of Corsicana and Gonzales. She is also survived by nephew, Greyson Peterek, and niece, Lana Peterek Dubose, her aunts, Dorothy Springs and Ruby Lindeman, both of New Braunfels and numerous precious cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside services will be held at 11 am, Wednesday, December 20, 2023 in Odd Fellows Cemetery with Dr. Matt Pennington officiating. Friends may leave their condolences to the family by visiting www.seydlerhillfuneralhome.com. Memorials may be made to the First Unted Methodist Church in Gonzales.
