Linda Lee McGill, age 86, passed away on January 5, 2024, in Gonzales, Texas. Linda was born on September 4, 1937, in Pueblo, Colorado.

Linda dedicated most of her work life to serving as an administrative assistant, primarily in school systems. She retired from the Texas Department of Human Services. However, her most important careers were being a devoted mother and a minister's wife.

Linda was a pillar of strength for her family, always ensuring that her four children, who lived in three different states, remained connected and informed about each other's lives. Her family and friends knew her as the glue that held everyone

together. Linda took immense pride in the accomplishments, no matter how small, of her loved ones. Once you became a part of her family, you held a special place in her heart forever. Her love knew no bounds or boundaries, and she touched the lives of many.

Linda will be deeply missed by her son Michael and wife Diana McGill, daughter Janet Baker, son Kevin and wife Lori McGill, daughter Cara Hall, granddaughter Lalena Morse and husband Chad, grandson Jason Thoman and wife Layna, grandson Kevin Lee McGill and wife Becca, granddaughter Kiernan McGill, grandson Keaton McGill, granddaughter Keegan Hall, grandson Kalin Hall, 17 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, and many others who were related in Linda's heart, if not by blood.

She was preceded in death by her parents Leroy and Leona Robinson, her beloved husband Robert McGill, her brother Gary Robinson, her grandson Richard Thoman, and her great-grandson Devin Germuska.

Linda was a graduate of Pueblo Central High School, class of 1955.

Linda's faith played a significant role in her life. She grew up and got married in the Presbyterian church, and later attended the Methodist Church at Travis Street UMC when she moved to La Grange, Texas with her husband and two youngest children. Linda followed her husband's calling to ministry, serving in various churches throughout her life, including Staples and Kingsbury, Monthalia (Cost) and Belmont and Leesville, Hunt, and finally ending in Burnet. She also avidly supported Buckingham UMC in Garland, TX, and later the FUMC in Sachse, TX, as well as the FUMC in Florence, CO. Towards the end of her life, Linda found solace in returning to the Presbyterian church, regularly attending The Presbyterian Church of Gonzales and FUMC in Florence, CO.

In her free time, Linda volunteered with Senior Services, a non-profit assistance group in Penrose, where she drove invalids and individuals without transportation to their doctor's appointments. While in Gonzales, she dedicated her time to the Hospital Auxiliary, contributing to their gift shop at Memorial Hospital. Linda also cherished her involvement in the women's circles at her church, forming lifelong friendships. However, her greatest joy came from spending time with all the babies and children in her extended family.

A memorial service to celebrate Linda's life will be held at The Presbyterian Church of Gonzales on February 17, 2024, at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Linda's memory to the following organizations: Nomads Mission Volunteers (www.nomadsumc.org), Methodist Children's Home (www.mch.org), and the Florence Senior Community Center (719-784-6493).

Linda Lee McGill was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many with her love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family and faith. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
