Sandra Lee Parr

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sandra Lee Parr age 72, on June 2, 2024.  She passed away peacefully in Gonzales Texas.

Sandra was born on August 11, 1951, to Louis and Virginia Roper Pack.  She grew up in San Antonio, Texas where she graduated from Edison High School.  In July of 1972 she married David Parr and moved to Austin, where they began to raise a family.  In Austin, Sandy worked in the banking industry for Bank of America for over 25 years before retiring to the family farm in Waelder in 2002, where she lived out the rest of her life.

After moving to Waelder, Sandy was active with Waelder’s Homecoming Committee, local Women's club, and the Waelder Methodist church.  Sandy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends playing bingo, bunco and numerous card and domino games.  Sandy was also an avid reader and would enjoy many a quiet day reading her books.

Sandra was a beloved wife to David Parr, mother to Brian and Steven Parr and grandma to Kristopher, Madeleine, Zoey, Laekyn, Brendan, and Jack.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Virginia Pack, in-laws Truman and Frances Parr, and a brother, Ralph Pack.

She is survived by her husband, David Parr, sons, Brian and Steven Parr, daughters in law Christy and Staci Parr, siblings, Pamela Schmidt (Max) and Louis Pack (Sheila), grandchildren, Kristopher, Madeleine, Zoey, Laekyn, Brendan and Jack and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm Friday, June 7, 2024 in Seydler-Hill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Saturday, June 8, 2024 in Seydler Hill Funeral Home with Dr. Matt Pennington officiating. Interment will follow in the Waelder City Cemetery.  Pallbearers: Brian and Steven Parr, Gary Santore, Louis Pack, III, Matthew Pack, and Jonathan Pack.
