Lea Ann (Brzozowski) Wyant

Lea Ann (Brzozowski) Wyant, at just a youthful 40 years old, passed peacefully from the surrounding loving embraces of her family directly into the welcoming arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on September 17, 2021. She was a courageous fighter, but her calling to Heaven as our beautiful angel just couldn’t be ignored.

Lea Ann was preciously delivered to us on November 5, 1980, to loving parents Kenneth and Laverne (Gray) Brzozowski, and big sister Kenna (Brzozowski) Lucas in Seguin, Texas. Her home and heart have always been in Gonzales, Texas. Such a small space to share so many details of such a full and amazing life, and yet much more left to live.

Growing up Lea relished her early mornings and long days of working cattle alongside her dad and sister. After graduating Gonzales High School in 1999, Lea Ann attended Blinn Jr. College in Brenham, Texas. It was here in Brenham where she met her best friend and the eventual love of her life, Benjamin (Matt) Wyant, in October of 2000. Lea Ann went on to pursue her passion of obtaining her Physical Therapy Assistant license at Austin Community College in Austin, Texas where she graduated in 2003. After graduation, her passion became reality as she helped heal many through her continued persistence and excitement for helping others. However, home is where the heart is, and Lea Ann’s heart was at home back in Gonzales, Texas. Lea Ann later moved back home to help on the family ranch for several years.

On September 12, 2008, Lea Ann & Matt were united in marriage in Gonzales, where they began a wonderful journey together. Lea Ann began working for S&K Electrical Contracting in 2010 as an Administrative Manager, where she became a keystone of the organization from early on in its inception.

It was along her beautiful journey through life that she and Matt welcomed home a beautiful baby girl, Kenley Wyant in April of 2010, and later a handsome baby boy, Clay Wyant in February 2015. The journey continued through hard work, big dreams, and a loving partnership; as she and Matt continued to build their family and forever home outside of Gonzales in Saturn, Texas. There she had a family to go home to each day, her extended family was far wider and just as loving and caring for her, as she was for them. Her friendships had deep roots and she never passed on a chance to live life to the fullest. Her smiles and laughter were infectious, and she knew how to make one walk a straight line, yet almost always followed with a comical wisecrack to ease the tension, but she meant business. Her pure dedication and devotion to her entire family, her work, her friends, and anyone she surrounded herself with will forever be unsurpassed. But most of all, her wonderful example of being the most amazing and dedicated mother will never be forgotten.

Lea Ann enjoyed many simple things in life. Especially family vacations from Disney World, the beach, snow skiing & traveling to different states were always a family adventure and many precious memories made. She shared a passion for hunting and outdoors from early on. Sometimes it was just an evening CanAm ride down the road with the family to look at the deer. Most certainly watching the Astros win was high on her priorities, either with family and friend trips to the game, or just listening to them on the back porch in the evening while unwinding from the week. However, one of her greatest past times and most cherished accomplishments was the near weekly trips to another family business at El Campo Lost Lagoon where she worked so hard by day in its development and knew how to be the life of the party by night when the day’s work was done. These will forever be treasured moments by all her family and friends. She will always be remembered by many things, but love, faith, a passion for hard work, and tremendous courage describe her to the fullest.

Lea Ann was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, L.A. (Buck) Gray of Gonzales, Texas; paternal grandfather, Raymond Brzozowski of Smiley, Texas; paternal grandmother, Elvira Brzozowski of Gonzales, Texas; Father-in-law, and mother-in-law, Benjie & Glenda Wyant of La Grange, Texas.

She is survived by her husband of 13 years, Matt Wyant; two beautiful and amazing children; Kenley and Clay Wyant; Her loving parents, Kenneth & Laverne Brzozowski; very close sister and brother-in-law, Kenna and Stephen Lucas; special nephew Vance Lucas; special niece, Lana Lucas; Grandmother (Mamaw), Mabel Gray (all of Gonzales, Texas); sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Cathy & Joe Krnavek; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Melissa & Tom Jurk (all of La Grange, Texas); many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, long term friends; and a very dear friend Melodi Ream of Midland, Texas.
