Lady Apaches sweep Lady Rockets for first district win

The Gonzales Lady Apaches traveled to San Antonio Friday, Oct. 4 for a district match against the JFK Lady Rockets.

The Lady Apaches took home their first district win with a sweep against JFK (25-15, 26-24, 25-16).

Junior middle hitter Isabella Ikard recorded 15 kills in the win over the Lady Rockets.

Junior Alaina Valle earned four aces in the JFK match; Junior Aubrey Lindemann recorded 12 digs; and sophomore Shykayden Clack had 17 assists.

The Lady Apaches will return home Friday, Oct. 11 for a district match against San Antonio Memorial to close out the first half of district play.

The San Antonio Memorial game starts at 5 p.m.
